You can now share a document and choose whether you want your collaborators to View Only... Edit... Or Comment! No more worries that someone you would like to proof your work will mess up your document! You can allow them to only Comment!

As you begin your new school year consider the use of some of these tools! Read this blog post to see some creative ways to use these free tools! Promote synchronous collaboration by using "WallWisher". This free tool has lots of possibilities! If you are not using "diigo" the powerful bookmarking tool you must consider it. Glogster, the digital poster can also be a powerful tool for the classroom and "Google Squared" is a wonderful tool that helps us gather information on a topic and display it in a way that is organized in an easy to read grid! As you explore these tools, don't forget to model the use of "Creative Commons" to promote digital citizenship for all students!

Diigo VS Delicious?
One of the tools that all educators should be using is a social bookmarking tool. The question is Diigo or Delicious? Here is a great comparison chart that will help you to answer this question. For those of you already using delicious, should you decide to change your social bookmarking tool, everything in Delicious will import smoothly into diigo and both will be maintained! Cool huh! It is hard to believe that we are weeks away from "Back to School". As we consider tools that will help to create empowering teaching/learning environments for the 2010-2011 school year;  please take the time to experiment with those shared in the blog post from the "Making Teachers Nerdy" blog. I feel that it is pretty bold to say that these 20 sites are ones that "NO Teacher Should Start the School Year Without", however,  I have to agree with Mrs. Smoke! Please take the time to consider some of these tools for your classroom, make a difference in education!

Did you know!
If you have text messaging (you do NOT have to have web) on your mobile phone you can send a text message to 466453. It is called Google SMS, take a look at all the possibilities...
