This meeting is with special ed directors, curriculum directors and Gifted/ Talented coordinators to identify priority professional development for the south end of WM-CSPD region.   A similar meeting will be held in the northern end of the region in the near future.

Due to low registration and a myriad of other extenuating circumstances, the WM-CSPD August Institute- scheduled for August 8-10th in Pablo has been cancelled.  We are looking at rescheduling many of the workshops in Missoula October 18-19th.  Check back on the website in September for more information.

WM-CSPD is hosting their 15th Annual August Institute, August 8-10th at the Salish Kootenai College in Pablo (about 1 hour north of Missoula)  Workshops have been posted, the schedule is set, and lodging information is available by going to clicking on the August Institute Logo--- on the www.wmcspd.org home page.  Early Bird rates apply until August 1st.  Registration is available on the Montana Professional Development Portal (cspd.hrmplus.net)

A limited number of  scholarships are available for the teams to attend specified spring conferences.  Go to http://www.wmcspd.org/scholarships to see more information or to make application.  Conferences include the Montana CEC Conference, the MBI Conference and the MEI Conference.

It is time to honor those paraprofessionals  and paraprofessional-teacher teams who work so hard in your schools.  I have attached the nomination forms. The winners of these awards are honored at the CEC conference in Billings in April.  Please nominate those members of your staff who are going above and beyond to make school successful for our students.  

Also consider nominating a student with special needs who is excelling in one ore more areas of their lives for the "Yes I Cn Award"   This is a wonderful way to honor those students who are working hard.  This person, and their parents, will receive a trip to Billings to attend the CEC conference luncheon where they will be honored.
